Good-bye, Hello!
So it has been a while, I know. Sorry to keep everyone waiting. It has been extremely busy for me at work. The kids go home this weekend, so this will probably be the last blog update, by me anyway, Maddie might have some parting words to say.
Updates....
Well we learned that Tyler likes peaches. I don't think when he told me that he liked peaches he meant the fresh kind. The boy loves food out of a can. But peaches are in season, so fresh peaches is what he gets. He has been eating them. He is currently eating about 3-4 a week.
The boys have started swimming without their floaties. Doing a fine job at it too. Nicky is already swimming underwater with his eyes open, despite Maddie's warnings, and diving off the side of the pool for rings. He can not go too deep at this time; he has not quite gasp the concept of deep breaths before going under, but he has managed to pull rings out of about 4-5 feet of water. He is having troubles in the 6 feet area; just a tad bit too far down for him.
Maddie has had her fill of horror movies. I think she is ready to get back to sugar and spice, and all that's nice. I also have had her on a Honduras project, which we have yet to complete. We basically got to where we were each others throats being in such a closed in area, so we try to swim every night now. Everyone seems to get along better when we are not in confined spaces. So she will have to complete that when she gets back. I bet Sissa would help with that.
We all went go-cart riding last weekend. I think everyone had fun despite it being hot. All the kids got soaked in the bumper boats. The boys could not drive on all the tracks, so Christy and I had to drive the double seated cars. I had Tyler with me, and every time we started approaching another car, he would shout "You better pass them!" That was his determination to win the race.
We had a loss in the gaming device family. Not sure who all knows about the puking incident that occurred several weeks back, let me just say, it was not pretty. It happened in the back of the Jeep by Tyler. He managed to puke all over himself, and his DS. The DS, sad to say, did not make it. It will not power on. However I am sending it back for further observations, but as of right now, it is comatose!
I really can not think of too much else to update. Tyler has a loose tooth that is bothering him. Maddie has a little brother that is bothering her. Nothing bothers Nicky except when he is tired or hungry, then everything bothers him!
Well I hope you guys enjoyed the blog!
No time to say good-bye, hello!

I Made A Movie, The End!
So Tyler was telling Nicky about the Wolverine movie he watched yesterday. He stated that he felt like the movie was short.
Nicky: So you walked into the movie, sat down, watched it for a minute and then it was over?
Tyler: No, it was not that short.
Nicky: That would have been like, movie starts, two guys start fighting; bam, smack, karate chop, movie over.
Tyler: Yeah that would have been like...
So this started very entertaining trend for the night, I like to call, "I Made A Movie, The End!" It is quite easy to do, and if you have the right people, quite funny. I will quote some of the movie ideas from the boys as examples.
Nicky: I made a movie. Patrick shoves a stick into his foot. The end.
Tyler: I made a movie. It is going to be in theaters. People are going to come in, sit down and start eating popcorn. Movie starts. A guy walks into a room and cuts a peanut in half. The end.
I made a movie. I create a post on my blog, you read it, the end!

Nicky: Dad tooted!
Dad (confused): I didn't toot.
Nicky: I was just kidding. Tyler was supposed to say, "Eww dad, you're gross!"

18th of July Weekend
I know, I know... It is getting later and later every week before I get a chance to post. I'm not slacking, I promise. Yesterday I was literally in meetings from 9AM til 4:45PM. Yes, I ate lunch in meeting. So needless to say, I was not in the best of moods after work yesterday, but I have to say, if you are ever in a bad mood just have Tyler play his Nascar game and encourage him to start crashing into other cars. Between Tyler being his goofy gaming self and driving the opposite way on the track to purposely crash the other cars had me WOOTing and hollering; standing up cheering while drinking my beer, root beer that is, and made me forget about the day I had. Throw a scary movie on top of that and I am refreshed!
So, Saturday... We attempted a visit to the zoo. It was a nice, cool, cloudy day and just felt like a perfect day to do that adventure, despite the kids not wanting to go the zoo. What kid does not want to go the zoo? Someone splain this to me. They all wanted to go to the movies. Say what? Zoo.. movies... no brainer right? Well, it was a no brainer for me; zoo is free, movies cost 40+ dollars, so yeah, we were going to the zoo. Well, everyone else apparently had the same "perfect day for a zoo adventure" idea I had, and we ended up sitting in traffic for over one and half hours just to end up going to eat and watching a movie at Christy's place. So maybe the kids had more insight than I did about the zoo adventure... things that make you go hmmmm.
Sunday, we started out at the park; moved to the pool, and then just chilled out for the rest of the day. That is how most of our Sundays go down. Oh, the boys started swimming without their floaties and were doing great. I was quite impressed and nervous all at the same time. But that is typical in the life of a parent, right? They do something scary and cool and we have mixed emotions about it. Half of you is saying "Wow! That was impressive!", and the other half is saying, "You scare me like that again and I am going to beat your butt!"
Laterz!

Making Plans
Daddy: Hey, you guys want to do something this weekend?
Maddie, Tyler, Nicky: Yeah!
Daddy: Ok, what do you guys want to do?
Nicky: Can we go to a carnival? Not that the we went to already but a different one.
Daddy: Uhhh, no.
Nicky: Can we go to Chuck E Cheese?
Daddy, Maddie: No.
Nicky: Can we go to CiCi's Pizza.
Daddy: Lets pick a place to go visit, not just eat at.
Nicky: Can we have Chinese?
Daddy: So you want to go to China?
Nicky: CHINEEEEEEESE! Gosh, you never listen to me.
Daddy: Uhhh, ok, does anyone else have any suggestions?
Maddie, Tyler, Nicky: Yeah!

Nicky: Hey Maddie lets play that game?
Maddie: What game?
Nickey: Where we fight! *smack! turns and runs*
----
Apparently they were playing this "game" again last night that ended in Nicky coming to me crying, stating that Maddie hit him in the stomach really hard. Maybe there are rules that some of us are not aware of, that state only Nicky can hit people during the "game" or that you can hit back, just not hard.
I am thinking Nicky is not going to want to play this game again. At least until he forgets how hard Maddie hits back.
:)
